Visiting ResearcherI am an academic from the Department of Computer Science, University of Waikato, New Zealand. A key output from our digital library project is Greenstone (http://www.greenstone.org" target="_blank" title="http://www.greenstone.org">http://www.greenstone.org) used by various UN agencies, the BBC and libraries around the world. Our research in recent years has expanded from a dominant focus on textual documents to multimedia forms and I am the principal investigator of a recently (2007) funded 4 year project exploring this aspect. I collaborate with Stefan Rueger of KMi and his MMIS group on project work that is the intersection of multimedia content analysis and digital libraries.
