The aim of this project is to provide an ‘observatory’ for the University of Industry (learning direct) which collects together related work on distance education. Using KMi technologies for integrating web documents with formal representations of knowledge the observatory will enable University of Industry customers to find descriptions of projects which are relevant for their particular context. This work builds on a number of KMi projects including Enrich and PlanetOnto.
We are fortunate in this project to be collaborating with the International Centre for Distance Learning (ICDL) group within IET.
