In order to ensure that adequate airport transportation is provided, please fill out the attached pdf and fax it to hotel Maestral to ensure that your seat is reserved. If you have already received confirmation for your transportation, please disregard. In Montenegro there are 2 International airports: Podgorica and Tivat. Also there is International airport of Cilipi located inDubrovnik (Republic of Croatia) in near vicinity of Montenegro (from Cilipi to border of Montenegro there are only 16 km).

Flying to Dubrovnik is often the easiest and mostly likely the cheapest way to get to the conference.  Reasonable rates are still available.

Bus service will be provided from the following airports: Dubrovnik, Tivat, and Podgorica to the contracted conference hotels, before and after the conference. There is a fee of 20€ per person, each way.

Airport of Cilipi (Dubrovnik, Croatia) is 25 kilometers far from Herceg Novi and there are for tourists arriving through this airport, organized transfer by buses to all tourist destinations in Montenegro.

Airport Podgorica is located 11 km from capital city of Montenegro. Every day there are scheduled flights to Belgrade as well as to various European and world destinations. During summer season there are many charter flights and air connections to all major cities of the world.

Airport Tivat is only 20km away from tourist metropolitan of Budva and less than 10 kilometers from Kotor. There are daily flights to Belgrade as well as to different European destinations. During summer season there are charter flights to major cities of Europe and world.

There are two national companies having scheduled flights to airports of Podgorica and Tivat, they are: Montenegro airlines and JAT. At their web presentations you can see their timetables and also other important information.

JAT, is national air company of Serbia. It has regular flights Podgorica - Belgrade, Tivat - Belgrade. This company has a number of scheduled flights to important centers in Europe as well as charter flights during season.

There are several hundred planes that land at the Podgorica and Tivat airports every day during the high season, with visitors from around the world. A large number of passenger ships dock in the port of Bar and the many marinas along the whole coastal zone are ready to welcome small and medium size yachts.

For those that have pre-booked the shuttle transportation service through conference staff or through hotel Maestral, please check the attached spreadsheets to make sure that your arrival and departure times are correct. Information is listed by hotel reservations.

Arrival Instructions:

Upon arriving at airports: Tivat (45 min from Budva), Podgorica (1 hour from Budva) and Dubrovnik (2 hour journey including ferry), there are two options depending on the time you arrive and the number of passengers present. You will be met with either a driver of a car waiting with your name outside of customs or you need to walk directly outside the airport after picking up your luggage to a table set up for service to Hotel Maestral (this includes Hotel Sajo, Mediteran, and Krajincina Plaza). Please pay the driver 20€ before boarding the bus or car.

About Montenegro:

Montenegro - "Black Mountain" is one of two constituent parts of Serbia and Montenegro and is a small, mountainous country situated in the Balkans, on the Adriatic Sea. Climate, Weather and Landscape

Montenegro enjoys a continental climate with alpine conditions in the mountains and with the Mediterranean climate along the Adriatic coast with summer temperatures reaching 30 C, in June - 26 C.

Montenegrin landscape is extremely varied with high and low mountains, valleys, lakes, large plains and lowlands and long sandy beaches.

Visas:

For the stay of up to 30 days the citizens of the following countries do not need a visa for Montenegro: EU countries, Andorra, Albania, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Byelorussia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Israel, Island, Japan, Canada, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Moldavia, Monaco, Norway, New Zealand, Russia, USA, San Marino, Switzerland, Ukraine, Vatican. Citizens of other countries need visas (which can be issued in any diplomatic mission of Serbia and Montenegro).

ATM`s & cards:

You have ATM`s in almost every city. You can use MasterCard, Maestro and Visa card for paying in many shops and gas stations. Other cards are accepted in some of the Banks in Montenegro.
