PHAROS project receives award

In June 2010 the PHAROS project was awarded the Italian Prize for "ICMT Innovation" in the category "Best practises in IT-driven convergence". KMi was a key part of the EU-funded project that finished at the end of 2009. Members of the MMiS group provided image/video analysis, annotation and content-based search facilities for the audiovisual search platform. The project was also selected by the Italian Ministry of Innovation for participation in the Shanghai Expo 2010.
