Shell Visitor – Peter Bentley

Peter Scott, Monday 13 Oct 2003

Sue Downey brought Peter Bentley (Shell Educ) over today for a chat about innovations. Peter is keen to consider how his company can better manage the departing knowledge from retiring senior folks. He wants them to ramp down their engagement with the company annually – to step back gradually from their role so that the company can still use an increasingly reduced mentoring or access-for-critical-experience model. He was looking for critical technical advances that might help in that!

I showed off the flash stuff we are doing atm; but also did a good sell for our knowledge capture/ dissemination tools. Will press him for feedback in a short while.
