Kids Making The News with Competition Awards

Today saw the presentation of awards for the first Making The News competition at London&#39s Olympia. The awards were presented by Robin Cousins MBE, Olympic Gold medalist in 1980 and part of the London Olympic Team for 2012, for which easynet are official sponsors.

Photo shows pupils from Mayhill Junior School (part of the South East Grid for Learning) who won best feature (joint winner), best music story, best overseas report and best personal story (joint winner).

Making the News, a spin off of ROSTA, is a free online publishing system for schools hosted by the National Education Network that enables teachers and pupils to share and promote their learning experiences over the World Wide Web. Development of MTN has been sponsored by the East of England Broadband Consortium.
