Successful Bristol CitiTag Technical Test

Peter Scott, Tuesday 15 Jun 2004

The technical tests of the CitiTag infrastructure in Bristol went very well today! Marc Eisenstadt, Kevin Quick and I joined the Hewlett Packard team in order to test the basic networking around our FlashCom application under the HP Mobile Bristol Framework.

CitiTag, the city wifi, PDA, huge scale, GPS-enabled, tag game designed by KMi&#39s Yanna Vogiazou and Royal College of Art PhD student Bas Raijmakers, and implemented in FlashCom by Kevin Quick and Jon Linney. So today the whole team were down on the Bristol streets checking out our apps with 20 HP Ipaqs.

Everything worked as we had hoped, and we looked pretty well set-up for the formal trials tomorrow…
