Another PhD for KMi

Chris Valentine, Thursday 10 Nov 2005

Yanna Vogiazou today completed her PhD, focused on the notion of &#39presence&#39 in the online and wireless connected world. Yanna took a break from her new role as a Lecturer in Interaction Design at Goldsmiths College, University of London.

Yanna&#39s thesis, entitled “Design for emergence: collaborative social play using online and wireless, location-based media”, is best known for her “CitiTag” game. The game was widely featured on the web (as part of Mobile Bristol) and in earlier KMi Planet stories, and is the subject of a major journal article, in Personal And Ubiquitous Computing, for which Yanna is the lead author.
