Chris Valentine, Friday 14 Jul 2006

KMi&#39s 6-a-side cricket team have won this year&#39s competition. Earth Sciences&#39 "Main Boundary Thrust" batted first for a total of 53. Roses won with an over to spare, but also took two wickets, one to a brilliant catch by Dnyanesh Rajpathak (far left). Neil Benn (far right), Roses&#39 captain, also took the award for the competition&#39s highest-scoring batsman.

The sizeable crowds were entertained by the presence of a sound system playing a mixture of Barbadan and Indian music.
