ERA Wows the Earth Sciences Crowd

Chris Valentine, Wednesday 27 Sep 2006

Jessica Bartlett presented KMi&#39s collaborative project "ERA" (Enabling Remote Activity) to Earth Sciences today. Set up as a trial to provide remote access to field locations for a mobility-impaired student on the SXR339 summer school, KMi were called in to provide technical expertise on still and video imaging and wireless networking technologies. The workshop heard from a number of projects, some of which received considerably more funding than ERA, intended to provide support to disabled students to carry out practical work as part of their studies at the OU.
