ERA Takes Another Award
Mark Gaved, Tuesday 14 October 2008 | Annotate
Members of the team behind the ERA Project were pleasantly surprised (to say the least) to have won the Special Needs Innovation category at the 2008 Handheld Learning awards at The Brewery, Barbican Centre, London last night.

The Enabling Remote Access (ERA) project was set up to enable physically impaired students access to remote locations during geology summer schools as part of their undergraduate Geosciences degree. By using mobile and communications technologies, ERA provides practical solutions to the challenges of fieldwork accessibility.
