KMi Mobile Apps Showcased
Chris Valentine, Friday 17 December 2010 | Annotate
KMi present both its mobile prototype applications and work on the iTunes U system at the Mobile Technologies Special Interest Group showcase in the Library yesterday, despite the team being seriously depleted by illness.
The Chinese Characters and Virtual Microscope applications have both proved popular on the Apple downloads site and are currently being expanded by developer Paul Hogan. We are expected to produce Android versions of these applications shortly too.
The OU's iTunes U content continues to be immensely popular with downloads of our material now approaching the 30 million mark. Joining our podcasts are 100 books in the eBook store, shortly to be expanded to 300 titles.
