Antonio Roberto Coelho Serra (Alumni) 
Visiting Post Doctoral Research Fellow

Antonio Serra holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration from the State University of Maranhão (UEMA), a Master’s Degree from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and a Doctoral Degree from the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).
He is a Senior Lecturer/Adjunct Professor at the Applied Social Sciences Center at the Department of Administration at UEMA as well as the Coordinator of the Educational Technology Centre in that Institution.
Antônio Serra has been working in Higher Education for over 15 years in the areas of teaching and research with large experience in planning, implementation and evaluation of Distance Education Programmes.
He was a visiting postdoctoral researcher at the Knowledge Media Institute (KMi-OU) under the supervision of Dr. Okada in 2013/2014. He contributed to several projects:
1.“21st century education” (by Telefonica Foundation) as part of the coordinator team of COLEARNERS21
2.“weSPOT ( working with social personal open technologies for inquiry based learning)”, responsible for co-supervising the the first pilot in co-inquiry between Educational and Business Organisations in Brazil.
3.OER & Social Newtorks member of the Brazilian Editorial Team leading the partnership between EDUEMA Brazil and Colearn UK.
Currently, Dr. Serra is an international member of the Advisory Scientific Committee of the COLEARN Open Research Network (KMi/OU) and representative of the institutional partnership between the e-Tec Brasil Network of the Ministry of Education and Colearn KMI-OU.
