Keynote at Chinese Semantic Web Symposium (CSWS 2008)
KMi Reporter, Monday 22 December 2008 | AnnotateProf Enrico Motta flew to China for the weekend to deliver a keynote address at the 2008 Chinese Semantic Web Symposium. The event was organised by the members of the Apex Lab at Jiao Tong University in Shanghai and was chaired by Professor Yong Yu. The chinese Semantic Web research community is currently one of the strongest in the world, as shown by the number of contributions from chinese universities, which can be found at the major Semantic Web conferences.
Prof Motta presented KMi's ongoing research on a new generation of Semantic Web applications, which make use of the Watson ontology search engine and are able to locate and reuse formalised knowledge dynamically, in response to application needs.
