ECIR 2010 hosted by KMi

KMi hosted the European Conference on Information Retrieval from March 28th to 31st 2010. This was the 32nd such conference and included both a tutorial/workshop day before the main event and a very successful industry the following it.
Keynote speakers, including Barry Smyth and Hinrich Shütze, as well as this year's winner of the Karen Spärk Jones award, Mirella Lapata, addressed over 160 attendees.
The industry day welcomed speakers from companies such as Yahoo!, Google, Microsoft and funnelback.
The event banquet was held at Bletchley Park which also gave delegates the opportunity to explore the park and museum.
