PEARLs in the Liffy

The EU-IST programme project PEARL, that is developing a system to enable teaching experiments to be conducted remotely over the Web, holds a key meeting in Dublin this week (20-23 September 2000). This will be a chance for the new project staff at the OU: Chetz Colwell (based in KMi) and Terry di Paolo (based in IET) to meet the rest of the consortium. Also attending from the OU will be Martyn Cooper (IET/KMi) Project Director, Eileen Scanlon (IET) Chair Project's Educational Board, Stuart Freake (Science) and Jo Mutlow (IET/KMi) the Project Manager.
The object of the meeting is to agree the full functional specification of the system based on the background research into the following areas:
- Market Issues - Pedagogy - User Needs Analysis - Review of the Foundation Technologies
