CINners launched from KMi

Meeting at KMi, a group of innovators piloted Open Book as the new communications medium to facilitate the Central Innovation Network – a virtual community linking Cambridge and Oxford regions.
The need for an active centre for the economic powerhouse of our region, is currently exercising the Open University, Cranfield, Rowsell Research and Oxford Innovation.
"Stuart Watt’s new community enabling technology is just what we need" said Steve Cousins of Cranfield University, "It will activate the Oxford2Cambridge web site that has been initiated earlier this year".
Other discussion looked at opportunities for trading and banking via the site. "Another exciting development!", Michael Barstow, HSBC. Local stock exchanges is one more that appealed to David Ray of Oxford Innovation.
