Alan Fletcher, Friday 11 Jun 2010The annual HRD Conference of the CIPD at Olympia, London is the largest UK Training and Development event of its kind and KMi’s Alan Fletcher hosted the ‘Learning Technologies of the Future’ presentation
The conference, which included over 30 sessions across two days invited industry and education experts and HR professionals to share their knowledge in training, learning and organisation development.
Alan’s presentation ‘Learning Technologies of the Future’ delivered a comprehensive tour of KMi’s work in current web 2.0 environments and gave an insight into the future internet and semantic exploration of learning objects.
Showcasing Kmi technologies such as FlashMeeting, the Virtual Microscope, Magpie and Flor, along with practical examples of the power of itunesU and Open Learn, the presentation was aimed at giving a broad sense of current capabilities and trends along with outlining the challenges of the semantic web.
