COMRADES at ICT2018

Harith Alani, Monday 17 Dec 2018

COMRADES team organised a 3 day exhibition at ICT 2018 in Vienna, to showcase the various technologies developed in H2020 COMRADES project. More than 5000 people attended the event this year, so the COMRADES booth was super busy! Visitors to the booth were able to see and use a crisis mapping platform that was powered with AI technologies to automatically filter, categorise, and verify crisis information shared on Twitter.

Prof Alani also presented COMRADES at a session organised by Nesta on "Tech for everyone, by everyone: citizen-centred digital innovation for good". The presentation showed the innovation of COMRADES which brought the latest AI techniques to the field of crisis information processing and management.
