SlideWiki meets in KMi

Alexander Mikroyannidis, Monday 13 Jun 2016

The second plenary meeting of the SlideWiki project took place on June 9th-10th in the Knowledge Media Institute of the Open University. More than 30 representatives from 17 organisations across Europe travelled to Milton Keynes, in order to touch base on the latest project developments and plan subsequent collaborative actions. The meeting focused on the preparations for the release of the next version of the SlideWiki platform, which will take place before the end of the year.

SlideWiki is a new Horizon 2020 project, aiming at increasing the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of education in Europe via widely available, accessible, multilingual, timely, engaging and high-quality educational material (i.e. OpenCourseWare). In this large-scale trial project, we are further maturing the SlideWiki technology platform (available at SlideWiki.org), integrating it with state-of-the-art educational platforms and performing large-scale trials in secondary education, vocational and professional training, higher education, as well as community-driven open-education.
