Peter Scott Visits KMi
Chris Valentine, Wednesday 30 Aug 2023
Professor Peter Scott today paid a flying visit to KMi, the department he was director of from 2007 to 2015, and spoke with our current Vice Chancellor Prof. Tim Blackman and two other ex-directors, Prof. John Domingue and Prof. Enrico Motta, as well as other long-term KMi staff.
Renowned for his transformational leadership in learning innovation, Peter left the OU and went on to even greater things, becoming Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education) of the University of Technology Sydney, Australia and then President of Athabasca University, Alberta, Canada.
When he left KMi, he said that "it was an honour to serve this team for so long!" It was good to see our old boss again – for the first time in 8 years – and realise that Peter still has that strong ambition for innovation in learning and teaching that he brought to us as leader back in 2007.
