Scottish Executive Visit
Peter Scott, Wednesday 22 May 2002 | Annotate
Today we hosted a visit from the E-Learning Team from the Scottish Executive. This team have been tasked by the Scottish Minister for Higher Education to explore the scope of e-learning as a potential force in exporting Scotland's academic expertise. The visitors were particularly interested in the OU's relationship with the e-University; about our own experience of e-learning delivery; and the scope for partnership with Scotland and its institutions. With us were Catherine Rainey (Head of Higher Education Branch), Gavin Gray (Higher Education Branch) and Catherine Leckie (HE Review Team). The visit was hosted in KMi by Peter Scott, and the OU team was led by Peter Wilson. The visitors had discussions with an extensive OU team including the Pro-VC (Technology), NTSS, Corous, the Political Office, LTS and the Library.
