OUAnalyse at London Festival of Learning
Wednesday 4 Jul 2018
This year, three important conferences related to educational technology were co-organised within one week in London as part of the London Festival of Learning. These conferences included Learning@Scale, International Conference on Learning Sciences and Artificial Intelligence in Education. This provided us with a unique opportunity to meet researchers across similar but slightly different fields.
OUAnalyse was represented by a poster focused on extending the study material recommender system by investigating the influence of demographic factors on the recommendations (https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-319-93846-2_27). Martin Hlosta and Jakub Kocvara presented the poster on the Thursday afternoon session and received a positive feedback from both academic and industrial participants.
Moreover, Quan Nguyen from IET presented the paper from LAK 2018 Linking students’ timing of engagement to learning design and academic performance, a joint work of IET and KMi. This presentation was part of the session dedicated to best papers from the 7 educational related conferences.
We hope to see everyone next year in Chicago!
