AI UK Fringe 2024: Navigating the Future – AI’s Impact on Education

The AI UK 2024 Fringe event aims to explore the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in education (AIEd), drawing inspiration from Bloom’s 1984 paper on personalized teaching. The event focuses on using AI to overcome socioeconomic barriers and provide personalized education on a large scale, aligning with the ethos of equality. The in-person workshop, scheduled from 10 am to 4 pm, includes two keynote sessions, discussions on AI applications in assessment and teaching, and a poster session for networking and showcasing work. With a diverse audience of 50 to 100 participants, including AI researchers, developers, educators, and policymakers, the event aims to foster collaboration and contribute to the discourse on AI in education.

The two keynote speakers are Rose Luckin, Professor of Learner Centred Design, UCL Knowledge Lab and Donald Clark, CEO, WildFire Learning.

The event will take place at the Royal Geographical Society with IBG, in London, at 9:50am – 4pm.
