‘Dreams, hopes, ambitions, passions. Our inner lives make us human, but it’s only recently that society has begun to recognise the rich emotional and imaginative life of those on the autistic spectrum. Drawing partly on his own experience as a neurodivergent man, the writer Daniel Tammet (Born on a Blue Day, Thinking in Numbers, Nine Minds) has created a body of work that sheds a unique light on how we think, perceive and understand the world. In this talk, he’ll explore the extraordinary diversity of talents on the spectrum and the importance of bringing neurodivergent stories to readers.’ If you’ve ever been curious about how the minds of neurodivergent people work, you’ll enjoy hearing about Daniel’s perspective, which will be enlightening and educational.
