STEM Freshers: Why should students engage with tutorials?

Thu, 12 Oct 2023 19:00 – 20:00 BST

Join us for this event dedicate to online tutorials – why you should attend, how you can meet fellow students and feel a sense of community.

Two of STEM’s seasoned ALs, Marianna Volpi and Charlene Butler will look to answer the question: Why should STEM students engage with tutorials? They will examine the practical side of things; you may get a live demonstration, the chance to ask questions live to a tutor, and confirm that you’ve understood the material. Marianna and Charlene will also look at the motivational reasons for engaging with tutorials- meeting fellow students and creating a sense of community with those studying the same material as you, seeing your studies applied and knowing you’re on the right track- there are so many reasons to engage with tutorials! Join us for an informal chat and join in by sharing your reasons for engaging with tutorials, or maybe a story about a tutorial that changed it all for you! Come along and ask questions and feel prepared to tackle your module.
