We are delighted to announce that we have a new Professor in our School.
In recognition of her sustained & exceptional success, Clare Warren has been promoted to Professor of Metamorphic Geology.
Clare’s case was built on outstanding leadership of research and teaching, evidenced by continued success in generating external income for research, and in support of postgraduate research training.
Clare has demonstrated the vision, drive and ability to lead academic projects in research and teaching, exemplified by her innovative contributions to postgraduate research training.
Examples include her contributions in delivering the NERC-funded CENTA Doctoral Training Partnership, and more recently a successful application to the EU to fund an extremely competitive Innovative Training Network as part of an international consortium.
She has also galvanised high-quality researchers, technicians and associated professional staff in leading the UoA B7 REF2021 submission.
She has achieved this whilst supporting changes in our equality and diversity practices, notably in terms of how we recruit and select postgraduate research students.
We are delighted to see Clare’s work recognised in this way. We look forward to celebrating this success in person as soon as COVID restrictions allow.
