Empowering Innovation: Highlights from GenAI & Amazon Bedrock Immersion Day at KMi

On June 11th, KMi hosted the highly anticipated GenAI & Amazon Bedrock Immersion Day, a comprehensive, one-day event dedicated to exploring the transformative capabilities of Generative AI (GenAI) and Amazon Bedrock. With 18 attendees joining us in person and 2 participating virtually, the event was a remarkable success, offering a blend of hands-on learning, expert insights, and valuable networking opportunities.
The event was designed to provide a deep dive into GenAI technologies through a series of hands-on labs and interactive sessions. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in practical labs, applying GenAI across various domains, including question answering, image generation, code development, and entity extraction. Labs encompassed both generative-only models and those employing Retrieval Augmented Generation methodologies. These sessions were crafted to empower participants with the skills and knowledge needed to leverage GenAI effectively in their projects and organizations.

Senior Solution Architects from Amazon Web Services led insightful discussions, sharing their knowledge on implementing GenAI solutions. Their expertise provided attendees with practical strategies and techniques for integrating GenAI into their business processes, enhancing product offerings, and optimizing operations.
