Chris Valentine, Friday 16 September 2011 | Annotate
Alexander Mikroyannidis and Teresa Connolly have prepared an online course about Responsive Open Learning Environments, which is now available in OpenLearn. The course provides an overview of the concepts behind Personal Learning Environments (PLEs) and also demonstrates a selection of learning tools that have been developed by the ROLE project. Additionally, it gives the learner an opportunity to use some of these tools through a set of learning activities.
The European project ROLE is aiming at empowering learners for lifelong and personalised learning within a responsive open learning environment. The project is advancing the state-of-the-art in human resource management; self-regulated and social learning; psycho-pedagogical theories of adaptive education and educational psychology; service composition and orchestration; and the use of ICT in lifelong learning.
