EATEL and Prolearn General Assembly 2007

Thursday 17 May 2007

The Prolearn General Assembly was held in the Knowledge Media Institute of the Open University in the UK on Monday and Tuesday 14-15 May 2007. Prolearn partners and associates from all around Europe converged on Milton Keynes to discuss the final year of work of the Prolearn Network of Excellence and its sustainability beyond the EU funding, which ends at the close of this year.

One of our major sustainability actions will be via the European Association of Technology Enhanced Learning, which was established in March this year. The General Meeting of EATEL was hosted in the OU on 15th May and saw the launch of our new website and the induction of new partners, including from EPFL in Switzerland.

EATEL, the European Association for Technology Enhanced Learning, is a non-profit association under the German Fiscal Code with its seat in Hannover, Germany. Amongst its articles, it aims to disseminate high-quality TEL resources, facilitate the transfer of research results, and to foster co-operation among researchers and providers in technology enhanced learning.

Upcoming events for EATEL and Prolearn will include the next assembly and general meeting at the EC-TEL Conference in Greece, September 17-20, 2007.
