Taha Tobaili Achieves Doctoral Success

Despite being in COVID-19 lockdown, Taha Tobaili successfully defended his PhD Thesis entitled "Sentiment Analysis for the Latinised Arabic Arabizi". Taha’s supervisors, Dr Miriam Fernandez and Professor Harith Alani expressed their delight at his achievement. The panel was chaired by Professor Marian Petre with Professor Zdenek Zdrahal as internal examiner alongside external examiner Dr Alia Abdelmoty, from the University of Cardiff. Miriam Fernandez was the panel observer. KMi colleagues sent Dr Tobaili their virtual congratulations and look forward to a time when they can celebrate with him in person.
