KMi @The Web Conference 2018
Jane Whild, Tuesday 22 May 2018KMi once again had a strong presence at The Web Conference, which this year was held in Lyon, France from 23-27 April, and was attended by over 2300 delegates. More than 7500 tweets were posted about the event, with 17000 retweets, reaching around 8.6 million twitter users.
On the Program Committee were KMi’s Harith Alani, Emanuele Bastianelli, Gregoire Burel, Enrico Daga, Andrea Mannocci, Francesco Osborne, Angela Salatino, Miriam Fernandez, and Ilaria Tiddi.
Prof Harith Alani was Co-Chair of the Web Content Analysis, Semantics, and Knowledge track, which received nearly 300 submissions, thus making it by far the largest track in the entire conference.
KMi members co-organised three Workshops, a Tutorial and a stand at the Jobs Fair. Our #RCBlackMirror2018 Workshop was featured on the morning paper blog which gives a short summary every weekday of an important, influential, topical or otherwise interesting paper in the field of computer science.
