Webinar: Facilitating lifelong learning through the use of blockchain technology

On 26 May 2021, Alexander Mikroyannidis (The Open University, UK) delivered the webinar Facilitating lifelong learning through the use of blockchain technology as part of the CPD webinar series of the Association for Learning Technology (ALT). In this webinar, Alexander presented the QualiChain project and the lifelong learning pilot that he is leading. This pilot aims at supporting lifelong learning through the use of Blockchain technology. In particular, this pilot uses Blockchain technology in order to provide lifelong learners with transparent and immutable educational accreditation in the form of Smart Blockchain Badges. Additionally, within this pilot lifelong learners are provided with personalised recommendations that help them reach their personal and professional learning goals.
