The GATEKEEPER project concludes with outstanding success after a four-year duration

Nancy Pontika, Wednesday 20 Mar 2024

The GATEKEEPER is one of four EU flagship projects tasked to develop the European Health Data Space, taking on the challenge of developing AI for prevention and chronic conditions. On the 23rd of February, GATEKEEPER had its successful end-of-project review for the exceptional quality of our work and the project’s achievements.

The feedback from the reviewers was as follows:

… You got beyond the expectations, also including all the COVID challenges and that you work in the health field. We believe you have well-defined exploitable results; you have demonstrated this point of strength. You’ve really done well. It was our absolute pleasure to review this project. You demonstrated team spirit and camaraderie since day 1 in this very large and diverse project. Well done, looking to see something forward in the future.”

The OU was responsible for leading research on community technology, robotics and the UK pilot in Milton Keynes and Bangor. To know more about the project results please check the recording of the final event and the GATEKEEPER playlist on the KMi YouTube channel where you can find about the technology and aims of the UK pilot.
