Dr. Joseph Kwarteng Inspires Final-Year Students at “Beyond the Degree Summit” on Career Transition and Innovation

KMi’s Dr. Joseph Kwarteng recently contributed as a guest speaker at the highly anticipated “Beyond the Degree Summit,” an event organised in collaboration with the ICT Education, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Ghana. The summit, held under the theme: “From Campus to Career: Leveraging Technology for Career Growth in the Digital Age”, was designed specifically for final-year students, focusing on equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully transition from campus to career life in today’s digital age.

Key topics, such as career development, the role of technology in professional growth, and the importance of lifelong learning, were addressed.

Dr. Kwarteng’s virtual presentation, centred on the vast opportunities available to students through scholarships and grants, and how these financial aids can be strategically navigated to support their career aspirations. He emphasised the importance of innovation in achieving career success, highlighting how leveraging new technologies and creative problem-solving approaches can set students apart in a competitive job market.

In his address, Dr. Kwarteng also discussed the critical role of continuous learning and upskilling in the digital age. He encouraged students to remain proactive in seeking out new opportunities for professional development and to view their degree as the foundation of a lifelong journey of learning and growth.

Reflecting on the event, Dr. Kwarteng said, “The transition from campus to career is a pivotal moment for students, and it’s essential that they are equipped with the right tools and knowledge to navigate this shift. Through initiatives like the ‘Beyond the Degree Summit,’ we are able to provide valuable insights that can help shape their future careers and ensure they are prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
