One of the major worries for educators about educational technology, is try to understand how emergent technologies and concepts, more than in the theoretical and technological area, are impacting on the day to day of the learning processes. The Group of Research on Educational Technology GITE of the University of Murcia in Spain (http://www.um.es/gite) is currently centered in the analysis of Personal Learning Environments, as well as implementing and exploring Emergent Pedagogies and innovative ways for usign the new media in the idea of enriching the learning experience in formal and informal contexts.
In this presentation we would like to present some of the current projects we are carry on: CAPPLE project: http://www.um.es/ple -around PLE-; EDUMOBS: http://www.um.es/aulashospitalarias/mo -m-learning pedagogies in hospital schools-; TACCLE2 http://www.taccle2.eu; (e)VET2edu http://evet2edu.eu, as well as to show some experiences of implementation of emergent pedagogies in higher education and teacher's proffesional development.
In addition, we would like to share some of our perspectives about the future of these and other technological developments (learning analytics, adaptative learning) and its impact on the education in general and in the pedagogical research in the next years.

We are also inviting top experts in AI and Knowledge Technologies to discuss major socio-technological topics with an audience that comprises both members of the Knowledge Media Institute, as well as the wider staff at The Open University. Differently from our seminar series, these events follow a Q&A format.
