An introduction to SRE at Google
This event took place on Monday 25 June 2018 at 11:30

"Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is what you get when you ask a software engineer to do a operations role."  Since 2004 the reliability of Google's critical services such as Websearch and Gmail has been defended by the SRE teams in the company. As well as ensuring that the services meet their reliability target, they're also responsible for using software engineering and design skills to automate themselves out of a job. Come to this talk to learn how SRE works, what kind of practices we apply to measure and increase reliability at Google, and how we're trying to spread these practices worldwide.
