The spread of multiple kinds of user-generated content through Web 2.0 technologies, has led to the diffusion of possible misinformation, due also to the absence of intermediaries that can guarantee the quality and the credibility of the disseminated contents. This issue involves several contexts, such as news, review sites, and health-related websites and social media, where the diffusion of inaccurate or malicious information can be particularly harmful to users. In this context, the focus of this talk will be to discuss models to assess the information genuineness (Credibility, quality, veracity, etc) of health-related user-generated content.
