The first recipients of the Melete Scholarships — Shuang Ao and Joseph Kwarteng, will share their experiences about their Melete journey. The Melete Scholarship provides the opportunity to have the extra financial freedom to realise their talent through their project proposals. In this seminar, Shuang and Joseph will share their thoughts about the Melete award, such as how it has given different perspectives on their research. In addition, they will discuss their application processes, how they formed their ideas and the time planning for their projects, furthermore how this award has influenced and inspired their future research career.

We are also inviting top experts in AI and Knowledge Technologies to discuss major socio-technological topics with an audience that comprises both members of the Knowledge Media Institute, as well as the wider staff at The Open University. Differently from our seminar series, these events follow a Q&A format.
