In this presentation we will introduce Dimensions’ state-of-the-art dataset for research analytics, provide examples of its applications and show how it can be used to experiment with novel research metrics such as the disruption index via a simple yet powerful interface. Furthermore, we will describe how we leveraged various cloud technologies e.g. Google BigQuery and Looker in order to support the creation of an interactive dashboard applications platform, so to enhance and flexibilize the analytical potential of the Dimensions data set even further. The platform allows to deliver custom 'dashboard products' to end users, while at the same time maximising code reuse, enabling central monitoring and supporting seamless integration with the preexisting Dimensions web application.

Maven of the Month
We are also inviting top experts in AI and Knowledge Technologies to discuss major socio-technological topics with an audience that comprises both members of the Knowledge Media Institute, as well as the wider staff at The Open University. Differently from our seminar series, these events follow a Q&A format.
