Salman Elahi (Alumni)
Research Student
I was based in Milton Keynes, UK as Research Assistant in Knowledge Media Institue (KMi) of the Open University. I did my Masters in Knowledge Management and Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. I am interested in applied semantic technologies.
I was involved in the NeOn project (http://www.neon-project.org/web-content/) in the development of the Watson Semantic Web Gateway and Cupboard ontology publication system. Recently I have been working on LUCERO (http://lucero-project.info/). A JISC funded project to publish University wide data as open linked data. I have been involved in the development of basic infrastructure which consists of routines for crawling and transforming heterogeneous data, e.g. library EPrints, OU ITunes RSS feeds etc. into OU RDF models.
