Neil Benn (Alumni)
Research Associate
I was in KMi from November 2002 to November 2010, first as a PhD student then as a researcher in the Semantic Web Services group headed by John Domingue. Projects I have been affiliated with are: Scholarly Ontologies (ScholOnto), LUISA, Living Human Digital Library (LHDL), NoTube, Service Web 3.0, and mEducator.
Quick personal background: Originally I am from the lovely island of Barbados and I came to the (also lovely) island of Great Britain in 2001 where I spent a year in the lovely city of York before coming to the lovely (tongue in cheek) city of Milton Keynes. I have now moved to the lovely city of Leeds. And I swear 'lovely' isn't the only adjective I know.
Lovely, now back to work.
Keys: academic discourse, argument analysis, ontology, digital libraries, Semantic Web, scholarly hypermedia, knowledge organisation systems (KOS)
