Andre Luis Correa (Alumni)
Visiting Research StudentAndré Luis Correa majored in Biology from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) in 2007. He has a Masters Degree in Science Education from the same university and is currently taking his Doctorate in Science Education at UNESP, where he works as a associate lecturer, responsible for introducing ICT to pre-service teachers in Science Education.
André Correa was a visiting researcher under the supervision of Dr. Okada at the Knowledge Media Institute (KMi-OU) in 2013/2014. During this period, he participated in various projects:
1.21st century education (by Telefonica Foundation) as part of the group COLEARNERS21,
2.weSPOT ( working with social personal open technologies for inquiry based learning), responsible for the first pilot in Biodiversity in Secondary Schools,
3.OER & Social Newtorks as part of the Scientific Committee
Correa is currently a research collaborator of the COLEARN Open Research Network (KMi/OU).
He is investigating skills and competences for the use of Information and Communication Technologies to science teaching with the COLERNERS21 Group.
